i want too use a 325i e30 diff cause a want discs on the back witch gearbox would go best with that diff and the engine

You need rear trailing arms for the rear disc conversion.

Also use standard 2.5 gearbox or a sport box if you can find one.

You've got a choice of 3.64 and 3.91 diffs. Or you could go with a 4.1 which will make it short geared but quick.

Are you making this enquiry because you are looking to fit a 24v engine? Reason I ask is that that is the area of the forum where you posted this question and the answer given in the post above may have some better alternatives if you are doing a 24v swap

yer i am doing the 24v conversion an a want 2 put the 2.5 (e30) complet back axel on the car cause a want discs on the back a jst wanted 2 no what gear box would b best for both the 2.5 diff and the m50 engine thanks

The 325 gearbox will bolt up to the 24v lumps no bother, but it sits over at too much of an angle, so you need to fabricate a custom gearbox mount and also bend the selector linkage.

You can alternatively use the 318is gearbox which sits at the correct angle and does not need any custom linkage or mount. Use the 325 flywheel, clutch & starter with this gearbox, a 325 prop and you're away.
