Working on my M50 and doing the wiring today, used an m42 loom box on the bulkhead but come to put the bonnet on and can't close it !
Have I bought the wrong 1?
Is the e30 M42 box any different to the e36?
can't close bonnet, help

you can use any E30 4 pot wiring loom cover, they came on the 316i & 318i as well as the iS.

Brill, I will find one of the above then. I knew I'd fuked up when I put it on but it did look okay until I couldn't close the bonnet!! Not a lot in it, maybey an inch but I could not gain that by moving the box down as I had it sat just close enough to the plastics so I could get them off when needed.
Cheers for the info anyway guys as usual

Jesus, that's just such a neat tidy engine bay compared to M20.
Almost a reason on it's own to swap mine to an M50.
