Right, I'm open to suggestions as to what wheels to stick on my E30 m3. I was considering 17" Alpina's, now I'm thinking perhaps some BBS' or Azev's.

Whats the verdict? Also, what do I need to look out for in terms of offset, 4 or 5 stud etc. I'm new to the E30 game (I think I'm gonna like it!!)and I pick my car up tuesday. I want to do my homework while I wait.

Ah man, tuesday's ages away!

5 stud for definite!

Personally, I'd look for some 8 series BBS wheels... Lovely!

see this thread for pics... click here

Look gorgeous!

I think you should defiantely go for some kind of BBS, although genuine Alpinas are cool.

Will these fit? "7 1/2 J x 17" H2. ET 41, PCD 5 x 120"

What about these? "8 1/2 x 17'' H2 ,5x120,ET13"

HI
the wheels in the thread referrred to are not 8 series wheels
they are in fact e34 5 series rims tho the 8 series wheels do fit and look the bullux
mine are
17x8 et20 front
17x9 et22 rear

type 5 rims

you need a lowish offset for e30 m3

the et41 ones will not fit i dont think

the et13 ones will

another big consideration is tyre sizes as this has a big influence on whether you get fouling issues
too wide at rear and you can foul arch and/or strut
at front you can get arch issues and touching inner bodywork on full lock

John,

The wheels I have seen are:

8 1/2 x 17'' H2 ,5x120,ET13

Front tyres: 215/40ZR17

Rear tyres: 235/40R17''

What do you reckon?

Adam.

hi
if you use those tyres then your rear tyre will be 10mm taller than the front
prob wont notice that with the eye
remember the 40 part of the tyre size is a ratio of width and therefore will be taller on 235 tyre than 215

email me on john.wiseman7@btopenworld.com

if you have excel on your pc i can send you somat that will help you compare offsets and tyre sizes

Youll think its slow after driving yours. M3's dont have 220 lb.ft everywhere!

I might sell the rebuilt s14 and stick in an M5 engine. Then I can change my name to "Lord of the E30's"

They look like E36 328i Sport rims, or the same as these... But a different colour...
