I wrecked my car tuesday morning. I am very sad and still dejected after it all. I jumped a curbed, did a 720 up someone's driveway smashed into a tree, did another 180 and ended up horizontal on the driveway. I smashed my head on the steering wheel, and was probably knocked unconscious for a few moments. Luckily, I didn't have a passenger or they would've been snapped in half. I walked away unscathed with the exception of a gnarly gash on my head.

The car is totaled and I absolutely loved it.....now I am car-less and figuring out what to do and get next.....

Sorry I just wanted to share and vent....thanks for reading :( There will be a for sale thread soon for whatever parts were salvageable from the wreck.

yeah that's true and everyone is beating into my head that point...I am just having trouble putting it into perspective because I really really loved that car.

*edit* and I did walk away...unfortunately, I probably would've needed a real injury for complete perspective. I am knocking on wood as type that...

The car did a great job in saving your skin - be glad of that & look on it as an opportunity to start again with something new! :)

I wish I had taken pics, it all happened quickly and right after, my friends and I were rushing to get the car right side up and off the property. I live in a seasonal resort town so much of the neighborhood is empty....we pulled it off the property and into the road parallel to the curb and left it for two hours until I could get it towed to a friends shop......interestingly enough, the police weren't called and when I went back to the car there were no tickets and I hadn't received any calls from the police...and I should state that there were no drugs or alcohol or reckless driving involved in this wreck, it was pure user error and not judging the conditions correctly. This is why, the biggest injury is to my ego.

Bad luck  Don't beat yourself up too much, we all make mistakes, like the others have said, you got out with only you pride hurt :( and a thumping head :)
I had a moment of madness last month in my 91 cab, 5am greasy road went into a roundabout way too fast, not thinking, half way round it the car started going side ways and I exited the round about backwards, front of the car went over a small Island bending the N/S rim and taking the sump off, I ended up on the wrong side of the road facing the right way, Luckly no cars where coming the other way!!
I was so angry with my self :x what was I doing  I love the car to bits and here I was wrecking it!! I had a quick look around the car, all seemed ok, apart from the oil light was on!! didn't realise at the time there was no bottom on the sump!! 8O I drove it 2 miles home at 20mph, crazy I know, but I wasn't going to leave it there and have to recover it later! I made it home ok, I replaced the sump and oil and she's running fine again winkeye
Get back out there and find another rust free E30, good luck

the fact your okay and walked away from what sounds like quite a big shunt is a blessing and good to hear, the car can be replaced as the guys have said and although very gutting, they are out there! in the same breath your ego will live on as will you.! now you need to find something equaly as good and start again 8)

all the best

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It's nice to have this support, I am definitely staying in the BMW family. I am thinking another 325is e30, e30 m3, or just a newer 3 series. If I play it right, I should be able to get a beemer made in this century AND get another e30 to play around with......

@adit interestingly enough and alert was sent throughout the village telling people to be careful of slick roads because of the leaves. They may have played a part in causing the accident in addition to user error

@ConvertChris That sucks big time, at least you were able to drive it away sorta.

As I said, I am going to make a proper thread to get rid of some of this stuff.
Here is a link to an album while I organize things....I also have a full cardinal interior w/ a normal backseat or ski/headrest back seat (I have both and there is no carpet available). The album is a combo of some parts I already have and the start of whatever I could pull off and salvage from the wreck

At least your ok and fair play for admiting you were at fault for the crash most people would say they was avoiding a fox or something. You know where you went wrong and it will make you a better driver in the future.
Get your self another E30,my guess is your find your self a better one than you had and love it even more.
Good luck with the search.

@a8dyc that's a good a point, it's a good opportunity for me to learn from my mistake. It's one hell of lesson to learn!

@rp2 :) good point but it wasn't intentional and I didn't pull it off cleanly.
