thinking of picking up some rims but want to know in advance if they'll rub? i used the tyre calc and the results dont look too drastic at all coming from my 14/195/65 et30 at the mo - just wanted to check for real life experience.
thanks

mate what is an et20 and what is an et30???!!! i presume you are talking about an E30 so yes 205/50/16 will be fine on your car provided the rims are the right size and offset (16x7) 100J. FYI you can squeeze 225's under the rear but they will rub a bit and you should roll the arches to stop that.

this has 16x7 schntizers and 205/50/16 with a 40mm drop on the suspension. no rubbing at all and the speedo works correctly.

Mine has Alpina 16s on with 205/50 tyres - would have come with 195/50 originally, but having no problems.
