Just a random question, just wanted to see how you guys got into your E30's? I'm assuming that if you are on here you like E30's!
For me:
My stepdad had a 1986 baur which i always quite liked.
I have a 80's car fetish and for me the E30 has always stood out among the usual fare...

I got into them in a weird way. Was searching for a cheap daily, saw a 325i listed on AutoTrader, it looked pretty awesome so I did a bit of research into what sort of car it was, and discovered the world of E30s and fell in love. Phoned up to arrange to view/buy and it was gone, was genuinely heartbroken.
Spent the next 6 months looking for the right one and finally got a good deal on eBay. Looking at my second one now and possibly a donor car, can't get enough of them I probably spend about 6 hours a day researching and shopping for them/bits.

When I think BMW I always picture the e30! The classic lines, headlights and the noise! (6 pots of course)
, Uncle of mine had em when I was a youngster and I always loved the shape of them ect, but growing up with a father who was a ford man and didn't like bmw's I didn't buy my first 1 until I was around 23. Picked up a C reg chromie 325i for £400! She was rotten underneath so that didn't last long!! But for the way she went, drove, sounded and turned heads I absolutly fell in love and that's where the love affair started, I just had to get another but with a tidy shell. My current car has a mint shell (learnt my lesson), so with what I have going on she will be great and the M50 engine should be a nice addition until I get borred and BOOST it

A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better

my brother bought a 318is a few years back and it was my first experience in rwd. He took me out for a spin and it was great. When my shitty rover 214 fuel tank started leaking fuel all over the road I found my own e30 and that was 5 years ago. bought my 325i for £700 and its still my work-in-project as well as my daily driver!

Back in 1995 I worked for a firm where I got to drive the directors 1990 535i Sport and a 1988 735i - I'd never really been interested in BMW's before getting to drive these cars but couldn't get over how smooth and solid they were to drive and with fantastic sounding engines.
Started looking around and it was suggested by the owners of the above executive chariots that I consider a 6 cylinder 3 series - and the rest is history.

Was fed up with the Electrics on my XR3I Convertibile constantly spoiling
what was otherwise a decent little car.
Spotted a Zinnober Convertible on Ebay, went to view it.
The rest is History.

My brother had a blue touring on genuine alpinas which I loved but he sold it to a zoner I beleive. A few years later a work college got an M3 and I loved it. Two weeks later I made my first E30 purchase which was an M3. I didn't even know about the zone but turns out it was Chris Warburton I got it off. It was one of the highest spec UK supplied cars I've ever seen. Realy great car in excellent condition that never once let me down. A short while after that my brother went out and bought one which is still around known as E WOK. I realy regreted selling it so treated myself to a motorsport convertible fairly recently and a nice little touring which is currently getting the full m-tech 2 treatment and should be ready for next week. Photo's to be posted asap....
