Kidney removal? Seperating the kidney from the middle grill?

Hello everyone, can someone enlighten me on how to remove my kidneys please? Iv just gone in the garage, and come out scratching my head, will i need to remove the whole grill? Ohh and no body part comments please, not mentioning any names

Vintage BMWs are an addiction.
The kidney grille is held by two spring clips at the top. You can see these when you open the bonnet. Pry them off with a flat screwdriver and the kidney grille will lift up and off. It is held at the bottom by two plastic hooks, though these are often broken off.

Should be a phillips head screw at the bottom inside of each grill as well. Between 2-3 bars on grill iircStan318is wrote:They have the same top clips as the kidney, undo them.
There is also a small philips head screw in the bottom outside corner of each grill that needs to be removed.
