Ok, I have an e30 cabby which is a left hooker on German plates. I had her converted to a 3.5 6cylinder engine from an e34 Sport. The car was bought quite cheaply in the first place and although the body work will tidy up considerably, I think a respray is my best option. Original colour is Brilliant Red, and I have just bought a wing in Zinnobar Red.
I am based in Bristol and need advice on a good bodywork shop for the respray. I have been messed around in the past by cowboy sprayers so I want it done right. Does anyone know a good bodyshop near to me?
Second question is I want to tidy up the engine bay. Paint work is ok, but specifically I want to tidy up the engine. Its base metal colour and I noticed a few chaps have cleverly used crinkle black paint which looks great, but they managed to leave the grooves and BMW stamp in original bare metal. How?!!!

Welcome to the zone! Sounds like a nice car you've got there, but then I would say that...
No idea on Bristol bodyshops, but painting the rocker cover etc like that is fairly simple - just paint the whole lot then sand the required bits back! Luckily the BMW logo etc is raised...

Aha, yes just spotted someone elses thread where they did this.
Thanks for the tip, just got to get her on the road and along to a meet. I had some old TSW's on her but have taken them off and put Azevs on, which look awesome. Looking for a Weisman roof now, and then need to get my leather interior renovated.
Cant wait to get her on the road, feel like a kid on Christmas Eve with the presents all sat there but not being able to open them!
