There is some pitting mate. Once the paint has gone off it's getting a sim before the second coat. As it's bear alloy I wanted a coat of paint on before I did anything. I could have chemical metal and powdercoated it but i didn't want it to react.

Chemical metal is the tits, I fixed a hole in an E30 with some today, its stronger than most of the shell

It's been filled and painted. Looks good. Only painted it last thing as I left so will take a pic in morning. Really pleased with it.

On I side note Dan. I won't be able to get down next week as we have a lad off all week. If I could come down a week Monday that would be wiiiiicked

Inside the bonnet still has the black chalk board paint still around the edges made.
I will be having the bonnet repainted as there is a bent in it. I quite like it as a reminder of what it was like.

Got a little sneaky pic off our Dan tonight. He's been busy cleaning oil pump and vanos unit for new oil pump inner's and vanos seals etc.
Proper job as always as you can see.

Dans nearly finished with my donk

Stripped vanos unit

Rebuilt vanos unit with updated seals

Oil pump has new internals and is fitted to the lump. The S52 cams are in and timed up. Just the sump and some sensors now. Getting closer

In all the excitement I nearly forgot. The donk is finished. It's was too dark for pics when Yoda was finished today. Here's a couple from when the sump was off.

I honestly can't thank Dan enough. I was ready to burn this biatch. It's brand new and improved now. I can't wait to drive it. I will have to as can't pick it up till Thursday week.
