I am hoping to be redying my black leather at some point in the near future to red, not sure which colour though, Cardinal red or Ox blood, but I really want to see them in the flesh before I buy the stains for it.

This looks like a retrim and not in a very nice red in my opinion, but expect to pay that for a geniune one I would say...
I think a restain would be loads cheaper, you can get the kits for about £70... And I havent done much searching still so I bet you can get that price down loads. Do you already have a leather interior?

Original red leather is hard to find and often not a great condition, making it hard to justify shelling out for one.
I seriously love cardinal red leather though, and I've come to the conclusion that the best (although most expensive if done properly) idea would be to buy a set of shabby cloth sport seats and have them re-trimmed in the proper leather.

Cardinal is darker- has brown tones, almost a burgundy whereas Crimson is more red.
Both look nice and just great if you have the red carpets and horseshoe etc
