They buy them and restore them back up and then they go to auction if I remember correctly.Kos wrote:i guessed that, the look like the need some love though
It's odd because up the road is a retoration company that do all these rare cars. Odd because stuff like this in Oxford is unheard off , due to the tree hugging idealists that run the city.

M C Elder (the owner of the vintage-pre- war car barn) is not affiliated in any way to our barns. I do some work for the elders on various odds and ends, but in the main they have cars on consignment to sell on.Felix79 wrote:They buy them and restore them back up and then they go to auction if I remember correctly.Kos wrote:i guessed that, the look like the need some love though

As for the american and other stuff, most of these cars are sourced internationally and ideally in an MOT'able state. However, I end up doing a fair amount of work on them to get them through the MOT (and the restoration work required)as it's not easy trying to get someone in Arizona or California to admit the car has the wrong diff or no brakes.
Hightone Restorations....up the road, do a bit of work for the Elders and I do some work for Hightone on BMW and Mercedes vehicles.
