just wondering whether my 1996 m3 evo saloon will have obd2 diagnostics? how can i check? if not are there tools avaliable to read fault codes which don't cost the earth?
i could just take it to the garage, but like everything else i'd rather spend a bit more and buy the tools for myself to do the job and then have them ready for a future occasion.
my abs light is playing up and i'd like to track down the fault instead of just replacing bits untill it works. the light comes on with ignition, dims very slightly with a flicker but never goes right off, and stays on until you turn the ignition off.
e36 obd1, obd2?
