HELP early sport diff ratios/lsd

need to know urgently what ratio diffs lsd,s could/would be on a d reg sport????
got the tag but really hard to read
it may say 373 does this make sense?? and is it an lsd??

bottom of diff way to manky to see if it has an s on it

please help need to go back to breaker soon before he sells it cheers all

Normally, ealry sports have a 3.64 LSD.

have got the tag in coke as we speak but is really rusted and almost imposs to read

gonna try get it to turn but it got no rear wheels on and dnt want to let the breaker suss its an lsd cos he,s a dumb ripoff tw*t

There's a whole bundle of ratios, but 3.73 sounds right.

Also there's 3.45, 3.64, and 3.91 amongst others.

Any ratio could be an LSD, all early sports as far as I'm aware had 3.64 LSD's, all later facelifts wore a 3.91.

would the actual tag from diff have an s on it ???

so the s is the main thing would the tag have it on or just bottom of diff??

Yes, the tag will have "S" on it to indicate LSD.

dont mention LSD or nowt, may get it very cheap!!!! Ԛ£50 or so

cheers to all that helped didnt have time toi get the diff today but he is keeping it for me and wants 70quid so i,ll get it and pray its good although i will be checking both shafts turn before i pay him and will try get it for 60 if poss def got an s on the tag but still cnt read no,s

if i get it and its shagged
how much would it cost to rebuild??????

If its shagged, you can rebuild it with the ford "atlas" clutch pack iirc-that gives you all you need (and a bit more.)

M3compact is the man to ask about rebuilding diffs-but i think the kit is Ԛ£120ish, so if you get it for Ԛ£70 and rebuild it, you have a KNOWN GOOD LSD for Ԛ£190
