e36's are great. especially with a 330bhp V8. 5 up a bootful of sh!t doing 180 on the autobahn. the colour is a classic

How are they "gay" and the "worst" 3 Series? They're a far more complete car than an E30, never mind an E21, and not far off an E46 which is just a fat E36 on a diet of KFC with more problems. They may not be the most iconic of BMWs but to suggest they're anything other than a very good and competent car is ridiculous.m_jermyn wrote:E36s are so gay probably the worst of the 3 series
Anyway back on topic - that is a lovely Touring.

The E36 is a brilliant car FACT!
The cars styling as with most things is down to personal taste but the E36 is regarded as a well proportioned car.
A nice one still feels like a modern car and the are generally very reliable and don't rust like an E30.
That B8 in the link simon posted is fantastic and quite likely to be the only one in Dakar yellow.

In fact i don't think I have ever seen a Dakar yellow Alpina of any kind before and it tends to be only M cars that are.

i knew a guy that used to deliver cars for bmw for years and he reckoned the v8 e36 alpina was the best he'd ever driven Thats a good enough recommendation for me. I don't hate the colour in theory but couldn't live with it in practice just too stand out ish.(mind you 5 mins behind the wheel of this and I'd probably eveen like lhd.)

The reason of probably the only dakar yellow one is that it is probably one of the most idous colours BMW produced. Fine in 1996 when you were first in the line for an M3 or Z3 but just look ridiculous now.

I'd quite like a Dakar Z3M coupe or E36 M3 but not the B8 touring, needs to be black/blue/red/grey/silver.
Alpina blue FTW!

i love e36 tourings but that is fucking hideous.
there is a really tidy e36 touring on pistonheads just now, rare colour, good spec but sadly it's a slushbox model.
