Ah, misread your last post - thought you said an a/c rad was £300, when in actual fact you said non-a/c.

Don't you need different rad hoses for a tropical rad?

I know it's a bit more work Si but how about that red 320 mattg had. I know it's an auto but with a buff up from Stevie, it's be a very saleable car later on.

How about getting the one in the touring re cored, there's a place in Farnham that do it, you could put that in the 2 door and then just put a standard one back in the touring, i'm sure you have one kicking about, if not I have a good one.

I put a small hole in the touring one steve remember?! whats a re-core then new middle bit?!

I don't want an auto runner in car really. needs to be manual imo. That bloody SA 4 door would of been ideal as it had a long MOT on it!!

Oh yeah, I do remember now you mention it. A re-core is just a rebuilt rad, they take the tanks off and just replace the core, just like having a brand new rad, do you want my old rad.

So i went into euros.............................saviours!

Tropical rad 91+vat. 90amp recon alternator £165. Result i'd say

An aircon rad is £80+vat and a stock size one is £71+vat so why not!

Besides the shell choice any thoughts on how you are going to run in the engine? Nursing or Psychotic approach? :D
