Hi

Another tech post from me, going to be alot since i just brought a new E30 of ebay which the owner described as needing TLC, didnt mention it needed intensive care though :x

Any ways, the driver side door lock snib inside only need to be pulled up and pushed down say 3mm, this dont seem right, also to lock the door from outside using the key, u have to turn it once, return to the normal position and turn it again to lock it properly, also the whole central locking aint working.

As for what the TLC was which he never mentioned are
1. ABS light stays on (Sorted with help from here :D )
2. Brakes spongy, think just need bleeding or swap over servo
3. Bodged up water hoses (Sorted)
4. Book lock not working right always in the depressed postion
5. Air flow meter seen better days top black bit melted
6. Drivers Mirror dont work
7. Leak on sump (which he told me about)
8. Smiley head lamp is held in place with wire, yes wire :x
9. Back passenger door slam strip fell off
10. Back passenger door did not shut properly as my kid found out
11. He said when i picked car up that head gasket had been replaced, pity they never cleaned out the system was still loads of cream in header tank :x and should he be telling porkies about this and the hed gasket had gone, will drive this car straight up his hairy ass.

Thats just the jobs i need to make it ok, without doing what i want to do to it like fit onboard comp out of my old SE, bloody good job i got an old 325i to salvage stuff from or would have cost me a fortune :x

One good thing is the suspention is fully adjustable spax and lowered by 40 mm

I know what ur saying, should have looked at car first, but when its 150 miles each way seems along drive, plus he sounded genuine on phone.

Lesson to be learned, dont trust no one.
