Hi,
I'm looking for some advice/a reccomendation for someone in the SW region, to strip apart my sports seats. Replace a couple of bolsters and seat base with spares from another set of seats. And finally fit my heated seats elements under the fabric of seat base and back.
And also anyone have any idea how much this is likely to cost?
Cheers Alex

Thanks Matt, I've printed off the instructions from the WIKI for the assembly/disassembly so I could DIY it, but I'm after some quotes, because I just don't have the time to sort these unless it's £400 and worth taking holiday off work to get it done.
I bought a pair of 4dr seats in matching colour to use the panels from, and had the heated seat from the Mrs, last x-mas, so I really just want it done now!!

Got to agree with matt here. I've only heard good things about them and when i've seen their stand at shows the quality always looks good.monkey wrote:in that case give trim'll fix it a ring they are in exeter there number is 01392 498888 . i have been told they are very good

If you were closer, I would have offered, i've stripped loads of sports seats, even my own.
TBH, it's a good days job, could be done on a Sunday to save yourself money.

Dropped the seats off tonight, pick up next week, with the seats out of the car, this is probably a good time to fit the heated seat loom and switches, must find some motivation over the weekend.Cook318IS wrote:Got to agree with matt here. I also have this to do as my passenger leather is fairly worn (came out of an M3) and I was given a spare set of covers with the interior. I've read the wiki and although it sounds do-able, in reality can this be done to a near-factory finish without the need of specialist tools and ability

If you're a perfectionist then get a proffesional to do it, the value of the seats afterwards would justify it.
For an extra £60 it would be a mistake to not fit these, heated sports leather are worth a lot. The kit is a perfect size for the sports seats too and can be wired up to the BMW loom/switches. I have no relation to the seller but this is the kit I used.

Yeah I would want it to look original and not a DIY recover effort- not too much a perfectionist but would only tackle it if do-able properly or massively expensive to have done!!
Loving the heated kit idea- didn't even think about that, I love heated seats
Cheers dude
