got my clio brake servo

I've got hold of a servo off a plastic winged clio and have to drill out tha hole to receive e30 clevis pin, I've read that the pushrod in the servo needs extending??
Is this nessessary in all cases??
And if so, inside the piston on my e30 master cylinder can I use round metal plates (like washers without hole) to pack it out towards the pushrod rather than extending the rod itself??

just use a bolt with the hex cut off and cut it to the right length. round the nose off it to get a better fit in the piston end. job done.

Do you mean replace the pushrod with a bolt or just place a cut bolt into the master cylinder piston and fit master to servo? Bit of a dull moment on this 1 I'm afraid haha. Oh and how long does the extention need to be? Or does this depend on my car and desired pedal feel? Could you explain in a little more detail please?

thats the way.

the length of bolt is different for every car i believe so it's a bit of trial and error. mine was 20 mm IIRC but i'm using an e34 M/C. i measured the length of the piston hole and the length of the pushrod and then cut the bolt to size.

Rite I've gotcha now , i will give that a go then. Drilled out the clevis reciever earlier, what a bitch!!! Blunt bits haha. Cheers pal
