Yep. 320i decal in mirror vinyl. 8) Thanks to Alyman, it's as near as you're likely to get to the pukka E30 badge font.
In actual fact, I've enough here to do a 330i one if that floats your boat.
I'll look out the dimensions for fitting it.

Looking good Dez , also I agree that the 330i badge should be advoided. The 320i one would be funny but I think true sleeper is the way to go.

For added sleeperness why not put on of those AA badges on the front grill and make it look like a pensioner owns it?

The 16" Ronals and ride height gives some of the game away. As do the 4 pot brakes and M52 backbox. Black leather Recaro's don't help either. It will never be a true sleeper but who wants comfort seats and a bus spec wheel. :D

Not much happening atm (Dan is getting his 3.0l M52 ready for a track day grrr winkeye) so i decided to sort out rocker cover.

As i am now using an M52 head i needed an M50 vanos rocker cover to use my S52 motorsport plastic cover :o:

Dan came up trups again and this turned up on tuesday

Image

When are you going to change the the thread title to Vanos instead of Vanous?

Vanous sounds like some dodgy Greek kitchen appliance.

So this 3.0L thing is going in the white chromie or another car?

Just spent 45 mins reading through this to try and find out what caused the problem in the first instance - so it was the shells getting mixed up. :(

Was following this up until it went bang - must say put me off building my own stroker.

major thread clean up needed.

There was no bang mate it was a nip on the shells that stopped it running. Its a totally different lump now though.

Dezzy - bang in a metaphorical sense.....

Would you tackle an engine build yourself again or is the advice to give it to the 'experts'
