After some new paint and a good clean, took some new pics today and thought id share them

had the front valance and is lip painted

tech 1 rear spoiler painted inc the rubber color coded

picked up a z3 gear shift kit today to be fitted the weekend, and also various clips form bmw, like the front grill ones and stuff...ive replaced a lotm of clips n fitttings on the car, for penuts really i ove putting new gen bmw clips on the car and knowing theyl be good for years to come, little details like that i find really make a car nice, and a feel good factor, cars nearing how im really happy with it, the flakey is lip been a to job since i got it, and im very pleased with how its looking now

not a lot to go now, shadow line trim next to be painted, need 1 or 2 little bits , and then its on to the engine bay

it sits on bilsteins shocks and ebach springs

hope you enjoy..not bad for a 20 year old car eh ?

i love how its looking from the front now, makes the car look like the minter it is, rather than a flakey is lip, and having the whole valance done-superb

cheers lads

spook, you about this weekend mate ? or was it next ??? having the quick shift fitted sat, but if your about this weekend you can do it if you want winkeye

thanks kermix...the cars nice, just a cple of tiny dents my mates gotta push out, hardly noticable from pics tho, and replace the rear bumper plastic trim, re paint the shadow line trim, a new center cap, and thats pretty much it for the outside ,im happy with it

also, where the mudflaps were on the front, bottom of wings a bit ropey, but i have a brand new set of mud flaps from the stealers to put on,cost me £100 8O ,will cover that up nicely, but im also on the lookout for a new set of front wings when the right ones turn up, to make it mint mint

also treated myself to one of these for £15 from bmw, looks nice on the keys

Image

also im pondering "M" grill badge, what do you think ? £22 new they are

its comming along 8)

Get them refurbed with the centers painted to match your car, but leave the rims silver or get them polished 8)

I know exactly how you feel, I'm currently in the middle of a dash swap, including tidying & renewing all the old cables, wires, fixings etc etc etc.
I will be doing a thread soon with my progress.

have thought that-a mate runs a local metal place, and can do the polished lip , the wheels have a polished lip anyway but a bit corroded but not too far gone, and he does power coating but only black , i could gte him to do them and a nice mates price too

but im thinking maybe something a little different ? whats the thoughts on completley gold ? 8O or gold with polished lip ?

not sure what other options there are really ?

winkeye are there any pics about of bbs done like that ? id like to see, or gold bbs ona black e30 ? (not the deep dish fandango types, but normal bbs cross spokes ?

il get a price from my mate on black/polished, and then dig about for gold/polished, although if that route id just get a mate to hand/spray them gold maybe, and get the other mate to just refurb the lips and polish them, he can also dip the wheels to remove all the paint etc

really like this car.

Only thing I would change at the front is to get an Oil Cooler insert for the valance rather than the blanking plate. Even if you don't fit an oil cooler IMO they look better than having it blanked off.

Apart from that don't change a thing

No need for the oil cooler itself mate, not for everyday use.
Motor oil has moved on a lot since the E30,s were made.

Don,t know what happened there.

no its straight, camera angle or something

just cleaned the engine bay up, came up a treat

then just polished and waxed the car again and its looking so shiny, wouldn think the paint was 20 year old, just popped round my mates and another mate pulled up in a cabby m3 he just bought, black, not sure what year it was, nice car mind for £1600

he took 1 look at my car and said f**king hell that puts the bodywork on this to shame, what a lovely car...and was more interested in mine that the one hed just bought

quite proud of how the car is right at this moment, the painted front valance and tech 1 really finish it off nicely, its nice to look at it and see it really nice and not think well it needs this and that done to it
