How do you deal with the tricky issue of passing another E30?
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Why does that not surprise me?

Usually flash but I've waved a few times... In return! Was quite funny when I met a group of hippy looking guys and gals face on at traffic lights. They seemed to think it was hilarious and waved frantically!

I think you'd get categorised as a lunatic over here for waving at people just because they're in tha same type of car.
Most people is Spain who drive E30s aren't enthusiasts, although they do exist obviously, the majority are just people who happen to own old BMWs.

These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
I must admit I just have a look and drive past. 9 times out of 10 they a rotten turds. Most of the local zoners I know and all other E30 tend to be scrap round here.

I'll admit it, I'm a flasher
However I will generally look at but ignore a base model grubby E30 as it's unlikely to have an enthusiast owner.
The mere sniff of a suspension job, shiny paint, nice wheels, M-tech or 'is' front end and i'll say hello.
A lot of locals do wave, not just E30's either. A local 2002 owner, a few E28's, E21's and 635 owners are all cheery chappies

If I'm driving one of my E30's,I wave, flash my lights or sound my horn, depending on the situation and where my hands are!

I usually flash my hazzards, its more subtle... Depending though. I sometimes give a nod, sometimes I get ignored and shout abused... Nothing major just like, "Ignorant Bastar..!", followed by horrible words about the condition of their car... Bit sad, but true.
i thought it was only v dubbers who where all freaky huggin lovers, sorry but ill just drive on , all though this sounds rude, i will gladly speak to other owners if i meet them and they want to chat.
i only wave at the middle aged lady with the mint red sport and i think she knows why ............im stalking her till she sell it to me

My dad used to get this a lot in his camper van, at the time i used to think it was weird. I must admit i sometimes flash my lights or give a thumbs up and if its an M i have been known to scramble for my camera to take a quick pic!
