Hiya!
Thought I’ll make a new thread of the cabrio as it was featured in Performance BMW (Nov 2010 issue) and the pictures can be now posted on the internet.
The pictures were taken by Anssi Ranki and me helping him during two nights in July. None of the pictures is photoshopped, believe it or not.

For example this pic was shot at around 3am (quite bright in the nights of Finland in summer time):
Image

I bought the cabrio as a bone-stock, black E30 325 cabrio 1987 pre-facelift model in Easter 2005 and started modifying it (sold the old engine within a week of buying the car). The only stock parts in the cabrio are the side windows, fuse box and heater control panel so pretty much everything has been changed / modified (all done myself & the help of friends, expect the paintjob and interior retrim). This summer I drove around 6000km with the cabrio as it is my daily summer car ”“ not a trailer queen!
The full spec list and project info can be found here.

And then the pictures... (few more can be found at www.m5time.com)

Jonsku your car is awesome. Its cars like that, which makes people like myself want to forget buying new vehicles. A truly magnificent machine and a brilliant piece of engineering.

I've only normal soft top at the moment. White or black Wiessmann hard top could be very sexy, though pretty much useless :D

Yes, it's 4x100 all around.

They are originally 8x17" ET40 from E36 but after magic tricks they're now 8,5 + 10x17" 4x100

Haha, that's true! :D Maybe someday with the AC, cruise control and big OBC..

Rav335uk; not necessarily. It's quite easy to convert to 5x120 so that'd be what i'd do if i was to do it all again.

Love these wheels they set the car off perfectly! How do you get them redrilled then? Is it costly is it safe and where in the uk does this?! Thanks.

Rav335; no i'm not using spacers. 5x120 -> 4x100 can't be done (yes those shittybag spacers do exist but i would never use them on any car unless they're "double bolted" => very thick => no real use.

No idea as I live in Finland :) All you need is a professional welder and machine shop, it's only alloy after all..
