What a di*k, left my filler cap behind at the petrol station...

Can I still drive it safely until I get a replacement (I doubt the petrol station has kept if for me but you never know).

How much am I looking at for a new one?

Well if your replacing it soon as... I would just get a bit of plastic over the top taped on, with a carrier bag over the top of that taped on,obviouslyall hidden away under the flap. Just get one sorted asap... Pop to gsf or eurocar parts or something.

I did that once. Went back and he had a drawer full of them!

"Which one's yours?" he says. "The old rusty one" was my reply

BMW very thoughtfully provided a slot inside the filler flap to hold the cap..... :D

I only realised this a couple of months ago, its handy and you never forget to put it back on if you use it like this!
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

That is a handy widget indeed. My Minor Traveller has a small chain to tie the cap to the filler neck, which is a good idea.
