the price was very good so i couldn't resist, it is a lovely shade of Laguna type green with dysentary beige leather 8O

I collect it this weekend, which expensive part do you think will shit itself and fall off first ?

If the a/c works (wow a flying pig) that will be on the short list ,along with the rad, rocker cover gaskets, steering box,check control pixels.
The control arm bushes WILL be f4cked unless they are poly or have been changed in the last 5000 miles.

A nice spec properly maintained 8 is a lovely thing but many are horrid spec and most are sorry neglected scrap.

I think I can safely say the two tone poo interior is even grimmer than the two tone grey ! :eek:

I luckily recently served my 850 and the same victim / freak bought my 944 ! :D :D :D :D :D

PS, EDC = Extremely Distressing Cost :(

Make sure it has two matching heathy batteries of the correct Ah. Other wise they'll be going flat quick or worse cause other electrical problems.

I love Pete's input, always helpfull, and straight to the point, his knowlege is awesome :D

I pick this shitter up tommorow,
it has 98k on the dash and full BMW service history, 6 months rent and a new BMW gearbox at 88k at the cost 4k ,:eek:

she drives nice no rattles or clunks, and the aircon works ! the sad owner needed a quick sale so i kicked him in the bollox :D

Sounds like it could be ok. An owner whos prepared to drop 4k on a new auto box from BMW is less likely to be one to scrimp and scrape on maintainence.
