hi just wondered if any1 cud help
i hav a A reg 316 on carbs
as i hav hit a wall n its all striped i dont know wot to do hav the engine tuned with twin webbers (m10engine) or put summat beasty into it
any ideas guys its driving me nuts
p.s if i do a change its gna b summat big :D
appreciate all ideas

The V8 conversion is quite an involved swap.

Any engine conversion will need you to be uprating the front & back brakes and front suspension to E30 325 gear.

The 24v engines out of the E36 and E34 are a good way to go. There is also the M30 3.5 engine out of 535 & 735i.

Have a look through the Engine Swaps section at what people have been upto.

Have you got a budget and can you do the work yourself?

cheers m8 i can do the work n if i cant my mate can
so would ppl rule out the tune up on the m10 ? such as having it bored out webbers etc ?

Nope, I wouldnt rule out the M10! go on stick some carbs on there with a big cam! They sound awesome!
