Not a great photo sorry, but the best I have of the inside of the door.
Aluminium sheet, cut and bent to shape. Too easy, and looks good. Cost about $20 for both sides (~£10).

I love the look of the Aluminium sheet but dose it rattlle around much when your driving as my car is still going to be used a little on the road...

should be fine.
2 tips...
Ease off the plastic membrane and use that as a template, then fix some heavy tape or even a thin draft proofing on the back and it will seal rattle free

My car makes so much noise I could not tell you if they rattle or not.
Potato's method should work a treat if they do rattle though.

Slightly off topic but I noticed from your pic you've painted the inside of the car matt black.
I'm just about to repaint mine and was just going to do it gloss white (Hammerite Smooth) but am now thinking yours is a good idea as it shouldn't mark as easy.
Was yours a professional spray job or did you do it yourself and what did you use?
