i think you could fit the 325i oil filter housing, pipes and radiator and it should work fine

i have a 325 filter housing if you need one

325 bits will all fit but I doubt if there will be much advantage. In fact I doubt if there's much need for one on a 325. Oils have come a long way since the mid 80's.
Dissadvantage is the potential for even more oil leaks - something the M20 does not need.

I'm about to fit one to the 2.7, I got the filter adapter and cooler with the oil lines. I bought all the o-rings and mounting brackets/bushes etc fro the dealer for Ԛ£16. I already had the plastic grill for the front valance, if you haven't got one they are Ԛ£8 from the dealer.

The cooler was blocked with manky old oil when I got it so I flushed it through with diesel and left it overnight to soak. In the morning I flushed the diesel out and dried it with compressed air. No restrictions now

Will let you know how it goes :D

Cheers,

Oil cooler fitted and working fine. As it turns out the pre and post facelift models have different mountings on the cooler.

Fortunately the facelift cars have both sets of munting points on the car :D

Fitting only took about 45 mins, but you need a deep 24mm socket to get the stub adapter off the block to fit the take-off plate.

Cheers,

Hello matey .... I wouldn't bother with it .... I'd use the time and cash on something else as I don't think you will notice any difference !!!

As has been said, not really neccesary, not even on the 325i, more beneficial really for cars in warmer climates.
