Converting M52 from auto to manual

Got all the bits that I think are necessary, however I vaguely remember something about needing a spiggot bearing. Someone said yes and someone else said no.

Help please I'd like to get the box on the M52 soonish

Yes you will need a spigot bearing, around a tenner from BMW

Cool thanks lee. Which engine will I need it from? The M52 or M20?

M20 if using an E30 gearbox, not sure otherwise

Best to measure the input shaft on the box you want to use (should be 12 or 15mm) and order that size spigot bearing from BMW.
