What was involved in fitting the SE skirts...? Did you have to drill holes for fittings?
Had to drill 2 1.5mm holes into the rear arch lip and one in the front wing.Ollie_bwoii wrote:What was involved in fitting the SE skirts...? Did you have to drill holes for fittings?
New clips from BMW for along the bottom and Tigersealed at the top.

Picked up a few more bits for it.
Rear headrests with fitting kit.
6 button OBC thanks to Shedrool.
An old skool Alpine indash 3CD head unit.
A low budget Scorpion C/Locking alarm from Ebay.
Not sure I can afford to go down the M52 route now to be honest.
We are in the process of trying to do the house up ready to sell and me spending everything on this/cars doesnt go down well in our house
Might just throw an M50 in it as ive got a couple of them and all the bits needed so could have it done in a weekend.Thats not a definate yet but it is very depressing going back to M40 powah.
Oh well time will tell

Fookin' 'ell - have barely looked in over the past couple of months, but because it was raining heavily almost all day yesterday, I decided to spend a while on here ... only to discover this. Nice one Tony! Great colour - good move on the laminex - gunsmoke is too dark and chavvy. The subtle tint is just about right. Looks as though yet another eko-classic is in the making
Dave in Torquay

Ive already got one on the drive mateDanThe wrote:Surely youve got room for another E36 breaker on the drive
Seriously we had planned to have the house ready to go on the market by end of October and we already know that aint gonna happen
Still not ruled out the M52 yet though, just got to balance the pennys thats all
Anyway just finished fitting my HiD`s and OBC.
Rear headrests went in last night along with a pair of dark iS front seats.
Mrs kerbed one of the front wheels yesterday which im fooking livid about so ill have as go at that this afternoon with a flapwheel on the grinder

Borrowed a polishing kit off a mate today.
Only got it for a week or so so thought id get a feel for it.
Certainly does the job and 20 mins later we have a result
Still needs going over again and no idea what im going to seal them with but ill worry about that when ive done all 4 rims.
Before...

Getting there....

Done for now...

I think you'll find that there quote be Cornish me 'ansome, and it be the favoured saying of me favourite Cornish Comedian 'Jethro'.Cook318IS wrote:Well (in a proper devonian accent) "wha ahpenned waz..."eko wrote:I think Teignbridge Props has gone now mate.StuBeeDoo wrote: I used to deliver around there back in my dim and distant past when I was on multi-drops. Sorry Tony, couldn't resist.![]()

Apology accepted Paul
Wasn't a 3 tonne propellar craned off on to a low loader by some pikey recently, well about 1.5 years ago?
Now then Tony, taking shape quite nicely, you know I was very impressed when I saw it.
Rare to get a colour so 'preserved' and a total plus point of it being super rare too.
Got a nose for the raren's aint ya
Oh... and a bargin, all those bits cheap as chips
Some good pictures there mate, getting quite good with the old photo taking device, be putting young Cookster and Co with their fancy expensive contraptions to shame... Ha
Loved the pics In Asda, God I miss my little mate, and his funny little ways
No Mtech spoilers in the breakers then?
*Cough M52, has to be done... Tell 'her in doors' I gave you permission
Regrading sealer for the rims, I gave you back the white Hair 'Gel sized pot looking container' for wheels didnt I?
It was in your shed, on the right hand side, I might of put it on the lower shelf
In the first few pics I take it Benjy, stood there with his arms crossed is not looking in your direction, and is infact lovingly staring at the French heap littering YOUR road??
As I haven't been on for so long, I thought I'd make full use of the smileys... < And the full stops
Hello to those I know by the way, Dan, Spook etc etc hope you and yours are all well and good
Regards
Andy

It does look a bit like the V's, but our Ryan has manners
Weeespec.
tari the Laminexed lights have now been romoved as they were just too dark for me,would suit a Silver or White car better IMO.
Will be doing another set in the light smoke though and fitting those.
Anyway finished all 4 wheels now. When I say finished they really could do with more time and effort putting in as I only put around an hour per wheel in.
Either way they look better than they did when I got them.
Think ill pick up some gloss Black for the centres and do them at weekend.
Gave it a wash and took some pics to show off my effort(or lack of
)

DEFINATELY go for the black centres mate!
Well ive fitted the standard rear springs from a 318ti Sport.
Didnt take any pics but stood side by side there was around 25-30mm difference in the height.
Doesnt actually sit that much lower, maybe 20mm or so but definately looks better.
Ride quality feels good too.
Discovered the rear beam bushes are pretty much knackered so ill get some of those fitted very soon.
Black centres im still not decided on.

This is the reason why I have the exact same wheels, nice to see em fitted (mine aren't!)eko wrote:Im still 50/50 myself.spook wrote:Those black centres are a tough call dude, im undecided.

Redone the headlights tonight in light smoke Laminex, looks loads better than the dark stuff did.
Also picked up a pair of rear beam bushes from the dealer at weekend and ive got a pair of almost new E46 rear topmounts from my old E36,might try and fit that lot at weekend.
Next up is some number plates. Was going to go for pressed ones but think ill just get them from BMW as they are cheaper than anywhere
Anyway quick wash for a few pics of the lights....
