pop down to your local scrap yard with a bag of donuts for bribery and pop it on the weigh bridge and find out for sure

A well prepared 320i race car will weigh in around 1020kg, thats standard pannels, glass etc, full cage, FX system but not a lot else.

I think the i.s. was about 1200 kg. Only the bonnet is fiberglass. Bootlid is only the steel skin. Doors are steel but have been severely lightened.Front wings are steel.Front spoiler and front panels are aluminium. 20 L ally fuel tank. Only one seat. No dashboard etc. Side windows are Polycarbonate. Front and rear screens are glass. 52% front 48% rear. The bodyshell complies with MSA regs. What was it out the factory ? I just need to get it a bit lighter and get more power out of the engine. And more importantly get some decent slicks and wets.

Are you out again this season? Would really like to have a look around the car if so. My 318is is around 960kg, I've identified another 10-20kg that can come out but after that I'm stuck. Need to keep dash and side glass (regs) and will be keeping standard petrol tank tho (driven to meetings). Also interested to see how you work out power wise, we need to keep the standard bottom end (so no boring/stroking despite running in a 2 litre class) and no throttle bodies so I'm working on a bike carb set up.
Cheers
