I think the dude was based near reading. Anyway, I supplied a firm based in surrey that did mine. I think this one was close enough for him to visit. Would be interesting to know how he got on,though. Cheers.

I'd be interested in how much it costs to get a new sewn-in window replacement around the country. I'm waiting on a kit from a guy in america and I'm going to do it myself (with no previous experience) - looks pretty straightforward.....
I'm getting the kit for 2 windows for £90, I've bought a test roof before I go near the one on my 325ic ! Same problem as Nycom63.

Hi
Just noticed that rear plastic window has 2 little about 1cm and 0.5cm cracks, I understood that the nr from Rav335uk is in birmingham, but some one mentioned Reading??? I'm in London, so looking for anyone around to do the stiching.
BTW may be someone know where I can get new rear plastic window?

Are we keeping this info secret? If so, can someone PM me a source for good replacement sew-in windows? I'm in Northern Ireland so I'll have to fit it myself or get someone over here to do it.

Sew-in one's are more difficult to source, zip-in one's available on eBay.

Try your local hood fitting company.

I replaced my rear screen and I'm about to do another one as I'm changing roofs. It's a straightforward job, just sore on the hands and you need two people for the sewing.

I'm sure the hood has no bearing on the MOT. My hood was down when I took it for an MOT this year.

Should not be(Barry will be along soon to correct me!)as you have two outside rear view mirrors. And you can always stow the hood if the tester gets arsy about it!
