Go for powder coating - spray painted wheels are a waste of everyones time and money.

I got my (black!) 15" BBS's and the metal bits of the centre caps powder coated (silver) at BJV. They were cheaper and quite possibly better than anywhere else - plus I got Camskill to send me some new tyres and BJV fitted them for half the price of the local tyre place and used proper stick-on weight.

Have a look here: bear in mind they need a wash and it's raining!

When I got them they basically looked brand new all over. Also they only powder coat the (non-meltable) metal parts of the centres - so just supply the metal bits, you'll have to paint the plastic nuts yourself.

The BMW centre badges are new from BMW, about Ԛ£2.50 each as I remember and a reminder to always check the BMW dealer price before bidding on ebay - a set of 4 went on ebay for Ԛ£17 around the time I got these for a tenner 8)

Orange - I was gonna use BJV too. I put a post on here a couple of weeks back and someone said they'd *heard* they weren't that good. (so not even first hand experience)
I think I might just bite the bullet and go for it.
The most important thing to me is that they stay the original colour, as BBS wheels seem to be a brighter silver than most others.

Well they did on my wheels - I could not tell the difference between them and new wheels in the BMW showroom, they were cheaper than here in Cambridge and they fitted the tyres perfectly (about Ԛ£7.50 a wheel for full fitting as I recall).
I can't speak for anyone else or make guarantees but I was very happy with my wheels and the price I paid 8)

The car handled much better too - but that was purely a result of changing from small bald Goodyears to bigger brand new Toyo Proxies....

The finish in the photo's look's good.
It was probably me that said about a bad comment about BJV, When I posted ages back about getting wheels refurbed the only comment I got about them wasn't good, The only personal experience I have of them is that they never got back to me.

these are me schnitzers painted and polished, and on the car about a year later. if they are prepped and painted properly then there is no reason why they should not last. the only exception is if you are going to have them sliver then i would not paint or powder coat but polish them.

as new.....

and about a year later....

ah yes it was Missy30 that put me off too. BAAAAD girl.

I emailed BJV about using a courier, and he replied saying he "hadn't found one he was happy with yet"; seems a bit of a poor excuse - that put me off.

AND it's a bit of a fag for me to take them myself.

Everyone raves about Lepsons(?) on the Zone - how many people have actually used them please?

Speak to Ant, I believe he uses them through his place of work, also Scott and Splondike are 2 people I know of who have had wheels done by them.

the best place i know of for wheel refurbs in the uk is a guy called Steve Cull. He's based in swansea.

He is very highly rated in the VW world (and we all know how anal they are  )

he does all sorts of stuff, from polishing to refurb and paint.
check out some examples of his work here

He is a fair distance from you but im sure he can recommend a courier

give him a ring on 01792 548285
tell him chaos recommended you.
