exhaust size for m52 conversion

right guys and girls finally got my m52'd IS on the road currently running the std systems and have found a second hand system for sale for the right price its twin 45mm with 2 boxes
is this going to be big enough bore to let the engine breath properly ?

45mm will be alright, I think the standard M52 system is 48mm.

I'm running an M3 (E30) scorpion system which is twin 50mm pipes.

I use an E30 325i Scorpion system and have had no problem getting decent dyno figures or 1/4 mile times

Hmmm never seen that manifold before, looks like a cross between the m52 and s52 and is much easier to rework that the s52 I can imagine !

Price is right too :)

i was going to say they looked cheap but then i noticed who was selling them. :P

buy a set and tell us if they fit. i could be tempted for that kind of money. you will still probably have to chop the flanges off the bottom.

chopping the flanges and moving them thats not the problem its the actual manifold bends id be worried about chopping
