You need to align the joints mate, not the paint marks, the paint just shows you which sides to align

this is true. Are there marks on the joints to show where to line it up or something? I wasnt paying much attention to the joints only the paint marks!

In that case no, I was thinking he was still using iS box.

Cheers for the compliments guys :thumb:

One thing i have forgot to mention is that i bought a big bore throttle body off ebay for the pricely sum of 99p + postage :D Only problem is that the butterfly valve looks to have been diy'd knife edged and they've take too much off so it doesnt seal properly so im going to have to make my own up. But for 99p im not going to complain :D

Long time no see! How's the m3 coming along? The b28 is still awesome, so much better than a peasant 2.5! And yup it's still badged as a 316i :D

Any news on the stickers btw?

Good news everybody :)

The prop vibration has 99% gone. The old prop guibo looked to be absolutly fine, but if you put two screwdrivers in the bolt holes and move them away from each other it was full of hairline cracks. Another £50 later a new lemforder guibo was on and it had fixed all of the vibration except a tiny bit. So this morning i took one of the rear wheels off and lo and behold one of the wheel wieghts has successfully made a bid for freedom! Swapped it with a front wheel and now its pretty much fine :D

Good job i've got a set of toyo t1-r's in the post so i'll wack them on and get them all rebalanced :thumb:

Its been on the dyno... again!

Last time i had about 6 - 7 runs and it made 203 odd bhp and 220ft/lbs. This time i only had 3 but it was getting more and more power (like last time) but they stopped it at 201.5bhp - it would of made more with more runs.

I'll post the dyno graph once photobucket has pulled its finger out.

The wheel bearings have now basically deceased to exist after todays motorway journey and im sure its got the odd misfire / hestitating.

I did say that i wasnt going to spend money on this for a while... :hammer:

Why does the power keep going up? Seems strange :?

The results are not far out anyway, temps are different, did they have the heaters on or something, 20/21, is it really that warm down there? 8O

Yeah. First run normally makes around 198bhp, then after each run it makes more and more power!

Its been wierd weather tbh, it was fairly warm and sunny this morning but then it was freezing this afternoon and its we've had heavy rain this evening :?

Its good power for a standard engine either way, I would be interested to see how it does on a Dastek dyno

Yup - very good readings for a standard engine :D

The only dastek dyno i know of isnt too reliable imo. This would be getting about 210bhp on that dyno!

I've known a few people who have had optimistic readouts from there!

About 1:30 hours drive i think? Not too far. Does Paul have a dastek? It would be a good meet though! Especially if EKO pulls his finger out and gets a b28 in his touring!
