Driving along the motorway at silly'o'clock this morning, can hear a small knocking, thinking maybe something dragging/tapping underneath. Look out the drivers side window and see something hanging horizontally from the roof (kinda inline with the wing mirror. Its sticking out at right angles to the car....me thinking wtf is that? Next thing I know...whoooosh...its gone. didnt have time to stop but when I did, the small strip of trim that runs the length of the roof, goes up the length of the windscreen, between door and windscreen and runs the length of the car......It's gone!
Something else to add to the shopping list of bits i need.....looks really tatty without it though
Or should I say tattier!

I'm assuming they are detactable.....it looks like it covers the seams where the roof joins the sides panels. When its on there that is
And yes...Tourer it is

So you mean the gutter trim?
Has it broken off half way down, or has it gone the whole length of the car?
Where are you based? Not an easy part to post by any means!!

It has come off the whole length...not snapped, which is the good news.
Based near Bournemouth....like you say, impossible to post.
What colour is it btw?
Cheers

If they don't have one where Jimbob says, then I'll check if I've still got mine at home.
It's black by the way.

Thanks for the scouting and help guys.....really appreciated. I need some serious help in getting the car nice....its a bit of a heap at the moment, but I know it has potential to look, and be nice.
Where is Trents please? Is that the scrappy off the A31?

Ive also fitted a new rail on my current car and theyre quite tricky, if your taking one of a scrap car be v careful not to bend it up or it wont go back!

Trents are much better - in Poole up near Tower Park (Opposite-ish Halfords); can't think of the road name...

Mine fell off,the replacment was about 47 quid !
To fit one you have to fit it to the gutter and rear clip with the A pilar part of the trim horizontal to the ground,it sort of twists on to the gutter as you turn it so the A pillar part of the trim gets close to the A pillar and then push it on to the A pillar.
It's a bit fiddly to twist it and put the rear clip on so get some one to help.
It's a dodgy explenation but it will make sense when you try to fit it !

Thanks for the information - Looks like its going to be fun and games fitting one.
I know Tower Park, so will have a scout around and find Trents....especially if the other place is a rip off!
Good news that they are supposed to be black
Should be easier to find one, and no body colour match required. (I really must post some pics just so someone can tell me what colour mine is, and show you guys what I'm on about when I say it needs some work
)
