front lights flapping

hi there . the front lights are flapping about on the e30. i removed the grille today and noticed they were not fixed at the bottom only at the top two fixings. will they clip back in at the bottom with a bit of force. it looks like the threaded pin has popped out of the plastic fixing on the light.has anyone else had this .thanks kev

Hi,
Yes, the head lamps are held by a nylon slotted bush to the back of the lamp and adjuster. What happens with time is they go hard and get brittle and then break causing the lamp unit to wobble.
They are available from BMW dealer and are very cheap to buy, you my need to give them a call and order a couple.
