Has anyone heard of this? or driven a car with this.

All it basically does from what i understand is stop the alternator running at mid/high revs.

Supposed to unleash 6bhp

Just wondering what u guys think of it, seems a good little tuning option to me!

:D

not sure some big cable going to the battery, apprantly your car can run for upto 30mins on a good battery. It also detects if the battery is low and starts the alternator again. If what i read is true.

Found a 325i with this fitted and a Van Aaken chip too :)

I had one of these when they were made by racelogic, i thought it was really good and showed a noticeable increase ,mine developed a fault after about four years and could not get it repaired coz racelogic stopped making them ! it interupts the main lead to the alternator feeding it through the unit ,it has a vacum take off which triggers the unit under full throttle and switches it back off as you ease off the gas.

Paul,

If you've still got it, I'll have a look and see if I can repair it.

Cheers,

Ian.

A good idea and worth a few BHP.
Also worth binning other power sapping tat like air con and power steering.
