Sad but the plate is one of the things that was tempting me to buy it :o:
Was a local car to me(within 5 miles) for first 11 years or so and was supplied by SMB in Exeter who are now Westerley.

Got a few more bits done to the car although still not managed to find a decent M52 within my budget.
Rear electric window kit all fitted and working and swapped the original cassette player for a more modern Sony.Bit basic but at least it plays CD`s.
Swapped the standard front shocks and springs for some Bilstein B8`s and crappy lowering springs. They still need to settle in so think the front will drop another few mm over the next few days.
Previous owner has clearly spent a good few quid on it recently.I knew it had a recon steering rack but when I got the wheels off today I got a pleasant surprise.
New rack and complete tiebars, new discs and Green stuff pads, new wishbones and standard TCA bushes and new droplinks too :P
So ill pick up a pair of eccentric M3 TCA bushes next week and get them fitted.E36 rack will be going in when I do the M52 swap.
Ive got a spare set of rear lights that I might tint the indicators Red on and this week ill be ordering some Laminex for the headlights too(sick of doing the xhairs thing now  ).
SE sideskirts ready to be fitted, just waiting on the sill clips to be delivered from BMW which should be here tomorow.
Ill also be swapping the door panels for the SE type with the cloth inserts at some point.
Just taken a few pics but my phone isnt up to much so not the best quality!

Decided to spray the iS front bib in Satin Black rather than risk a shit finish using rattle cans to match the Red.I think it looks better anyway.
Ive also given the SE sideskirts a fresh coat of satin, just waiting on the clips from BMW so I can get them on.
I have got one of those spoiler add on`s that OBs`s did a group buy on from the US but not sure its my thing so dont know if thatll get fitted yet, might fit for the sale though.
Smoked the front and side flashers too and done a set of Red/smoke rear lights but they arent quite finished yet.
Ive got a spare set of smileys and have ordered some Laminex to Black them out too.
Next up some German plates and the exterior is done :D
Tempted to spray the wheel centres Grey though??

Hmm as it stands think I prefer Silver but once the lights are Blacked and the 6 pot to weight the front down one of those might work.
Ill leave as ther are for now :D

Picked up the Borbets earlier and just finished putting them on.
Desperately needs a 6 pot now to bring the front end down somewhat!
Laminexed headlights are also in but now they are fitted they are really not to my taste, just too dark so the lad I got the Borbets from wants to buy them and ill do another in the lighter smoke.
Anyway couple of pics, awful quality as usual :P

Really liking the progress you've made with this ... right up to the point i saw the Borbets. Should've stuck with the BBS imho.

Didnt check ET as it was dark but pretty sure these are ET15.
The spacers are too wide, think they are 20mm and plenty of room between the shockand wheel so ill get some 10mm ones for it.

Ceaser your allowed an opinion mate :D
To be fair ive had 14/15" BBS,3x sets of Hartges, genuine Alpinas and more so fancied something different and as these were a straight swap for the BBS I thought sod it why not

Jake what spacers are you using on the front?

Just picked up a pair of 5mm spacers so will put them on later.
Think the ones fitted are 20mm hence the reason they stick out so far!

is the laminex film road legal and does it impede the light at all?

Which level of tint did you use?

According to Laminex it is road legal.
I didnt haver HIDs fitted with mine so the light was definately affected but I put my lights into a mates car last night with HIDs fitted and they are much better.
I went for the Gunsmoke but wasnt keen on how dark they were so may give the light smoke a try.

Got the SE sideskirts fitted this weekend, looks loads better.
I got a spare set of centre caps with the wheels and thought id try them on.
I actually prefer these ones to the flat ones so ill stick with them.Still tempted for Black centres to be honest but we`ll see :D
