So i have a 1992 e36 with an m50b25 (got in an accident, and there was frame damage) the engine only has ~120,000km on it, and has a new exhaust/gearbox. the engine is still in amazing condition, and im getting prepared for the swap slowly and within a few months i hope to have it done. The car I'm putting it into is an e30 318is Mtech. The interior on the e36 was shot to begin with, and had a lot of electrical problems. The e30 is immaculate. The interior is gorgeous (black/grey plaid) and has power NOTHING (windows, locks, power steering, etc.) which is awesome, a lot less headaches. I'm trying to make sure that i can go junkyard hopping and have all (or close to all) the parts I will need for the swap at the ready for when the time comes.

from what I've read, theres a few main things I will definitely need, those being an e34 sump/dipstick/oil pickup, some engine mounts off an E28 M535i or m5, and a clio server?

will i need all these things, and can i swap the transmission/clutch/exhaust from the e36 as is? i imagine i will have to get the exhaust cut?

also what else would i need? I'm very excited about the swap and its gonna be a fun project. I don't have all the experience with this kinda stuff in the world but definitely have the help and resources i would need to get it done, but just want to make sure to have everything i need so i dont run into any unneccesary headaches.

thanks, vince.
