That tech 2 kit was obviously bodged on and not factory fit.
My turd as not one spec of rot behind the kit.
Factory fitted kits dont cause rot, they just hide it.
Retro fitted ones, well depends on how well they've been fitted!
Theses car rot from the inside out, not from the outside in and its the outside that covered by the kit.
The main causes of rot behind the kit is arches not being cleaned out regularly and water ingress getting into seams then moisture rotting them.

If you fit a rieger lip and a tech 1 boot spoiler you 'might' get away with it

no boot spoiler for me ! and no rieger wrongness on my turds Dan !
I do have front and rear Hartge skirts, and both front and rear MK motorsport valances..
the standard mahoosive cabby sills are sad looking

The rieger lip aint that bad, IMO you would need something big and shovel like at the front to pull it off

Merely replying to the overwhelming demand - your mates included - of the discerning E30 aesthete, something sadly your geopoliticalsocial 'situation' cannot fathom.
Go figure!
