about 11 years ago I had a MK2 RS2000 head worked from stage 2 to stage 3 (large inlet and exhaust, massive ports etc) and managed a mile down the road before one exhaust valve galled in the new valve guide and lightly battered one piston.

Upset? just a tad! I was earning 8.5k/yr back then and the big bore head gasket alone was £120

Dezzy im absolutly fooking gutted for you. This happen to me on my Nova that me and Dan spent a new year putting an engine together (Well Dan did i just broke stuff) I had forgoteo tighten the sump plug and when i went for a blast round the fooking plug came out and killed the engine
