Turn the key - nothing, not even any warning lights. never in 8 years has this happened before. Even the hazard warning lights and central locking are out. The battery is fine and I know is sening out power. The wierd thing is I only Went into Waitrose to get my dinner!! The thing was still hot when I got back. I checked all the fuses - all seemed fine so I'm thinking there must be as relay out somewhere....any ideas welcome.

Have just been down to 'Waitrose' again. I added a relay a while ago which I thought was missing that in the handbook drives the auxilery fan at 91dregrees. I removed the relay I added and she started straight away as always - just been for a spin to get upto temp and all seems just fine. Need to look into the missing relay point though....thanks for your thoughts anyway!

I had this fault on a Cavalier SRI a few years ago - turned out to be the connector from the thick main positive cable to the alternator. It would either run like a bag of crap or there would be absolutely zero electrics - not even the interior light !

Spent ages trying different things to fix it then when it was going dark one night and I had managed to get it running noticed the connector onto the alternator was arcing. A new spade connector cured it.

Worth a look
