Nope, you'll need a 3.73 or 3.91 for Drifting.

3.46 for nrmal road use, I have on fitted on my M30.

Also, what gearbox will you be using?

3.15 is too low for the M30 in the E30

3.64 is a nice ratio, 75 mph @ 3k and enough balls to spin the rears all over the shop :D

Im running a 3.73 which gives me 72mph @ 3k and its very lively through the gears.

3.07 on mine, the M30 has plenty of torque to cope with it from low down, if anything it makes the lower gears much more usable. Hits 60 in second with ease and rather rapidly

3.91 also been on mine, 1st gear is useless and crap if you do any commuting but damn good fun for getting the back end out

My life has become one long commute so the 3.07 is 85 @ 3k

I've got a 2.93 going in mine.

For drifting you will want a taller/higher diff.

I have a 2.93lsd also, and it's pretty good for a daily.
Good mileage, you can cruise at high speed, and Less shifting.

I have a 3.91 and the wheels just spin in first! Been great fun as I use the car from drifting but I find you seen forever changing gear. Im going with a 3.63 meduim case. So somewhere in between everyone elses recommendations.

Just use a 3.07/3.25 lsd from a E28. Or for drifting a 3.64
