diffrence in heads, 2.5

hello peeps?? i need your info, what is the difference between a head that is stamped 2.5 and 2.5/2.7? is there any diff in port sizes,valve sizes or anything that you guys know??

am looking for a head to buy to do some work on (polish and port) but some one said that i should get a head that has 25/27 on it that the valves are bigger+ports to

or are all 2.5 heads the same

hi i think they`re the same but the 1 with 2.5/2.7 is from a 5 series as is mine cos it`s also used in the 525 eta engine but all 2.5 m20`s are the same unless allready moded

a 525i head is the same as a 325??

so you are saying that any 2..5 head will be fine?? and and a head with 2.5/2.7 on it don't mean sh!t??

The 2.5 head with the big ports is the one with the cast number that ends in "885". This number is above inlet ports 3 and 4.
