My car bogs down as you attempt to pull off you have to give it some revs on take off and while you are moving if I'm not pressing hard enough it can jerk as if you are in too high a gear (sometimes jerks more) even though I'm in correct gear. I have only recently bought the car and just serviced it. I'm going to check the distributor cap. And even though it's a 320i convertible I can't help thinking that it's quite sluggish. Any ideas anyone? :banghead:

My 320 does this too, got used to it now so I can pull away smoothly. Think maybe they all do it? And a 320 only has 129ish bhp so hardly the quickest car about!

Getting my fuel injectors cleaned fixed this issue on my 320i

Sorry for late response.

I would describe my problem as being the same as yours, but there are probably a number of potential causes such as the blue temp sensor, vacuume leaks, tps.

Send them to Injectortune, I think he advertises on the zone somewhere. I bought a refurbished set off a Canadian company on ebay. Regardless of whether this fixes the problem it is worth the money.

I also just noticed you say its sluggish, LOL, welcome to the 320i. The 320i goes quite well with, serviced injectors, the big throttle body and chip installed but will never blow your socks off. If you are not happy with that then buy a 325i engine and plop it in.

Sounds llke you have a vacuum leak mate... Check if any of the hoses have cracks in them.

The big hose that goes from the air flow meter to the throttle body is the main one.. But the smaller ones will crack aswell.
