Some will recall the sad news that this zoner lost his life a couple of months back. I arranged a collection for some flowers for his funeral and about 20 or so zoners donated to this.
Unfortunatley all of the contacts I had who were known to James suddenly went off the radar and I was unable to liaise with anybody to find out the date of the funeral etc.
What we are proposing to do now is present an award at Santa Pod on 19th September.
There will be an enormous trophy which will be presented on the day. The winner will keep the trophy for a year and their name will be engraved on the trophy. They must return the trophy the next year so it can be presented again, but they will also be given a separate smaller trophy which they can keep.
We therefore would like members to first of all put up nominations for who they feel are deserving of an award. This will be open until the end of this week (Sunday 29th August).
The nominees will then be put forward on a new thread with a poll where votes are cast.
OK, so what are you nominating for? Well seeing as it was the community spirit which brought the money together for this award, then it should be awarded for similar behaviour.
To be awarded to the zoner who has showed exemplary community spirit both on and off the forums, helping zoners and E30 owners regardless of time, effort or cost; be it with engine swaps, parts, advice or mechanical/electrical skill and knowledge
Members trophy, created by members, for members
Please therefore use this thread as the means of putting forward a single name who you wish to nominate. You don't need to give any reason etc, just a name.
At the end of the week, the names put forward in this thread will then put put into a poll so people can vote.

This is just a thread to decide who goes into the vote...
So name and embarrass more than one zoner at a time if you want to!

i'll put BadDave down then.
he has done me and several other scottish zoners a lot of favours, transporting bits, delivering them, organising meets, providing technical info, fitting unfeasably large brakes on his car in conjunction with the most council of wheels.

Ant/mr Moore and the zone itself. Without it alot if not all of us would of been screwed at times. May I also suggest a minute silence out of respect on the day. If only to remind us how precious life is.

Brian Moore for obvious reasons.
Whipsey for personal reasons.
Last but not least, spook for keeping me amused, his offers of help and hospitality
and because nobody else has voted for the coont , yet.
