I bought mine when the P reg came out, suited my name of P.Ivatts Dont think I'd do the same again, the personalised plates are a bit chavvy now, too many of them, DVLA greed has done that. Agree the new cool is original plates.

In two minds about private plates, but the fact that E3 ODK has now gone from the dvla site has put me off. DOU 6K is currently with a dealer for about £3k iirc, but I think having my name on it might be a bit much, plus I haven't got £3k spare, and anyway, how can it be worth 3 grand when there can't be that many 'Doug K' s in the country????

Perhaps they will realise this and I'll be able to buy it for 50 quid in a years time and stick it on some old shed for comedy value.

I quite fancy just getting a non age related plate that doesn't mean anything, just so it's 'mine'. But NI 'private plates' are made of fail.

Dodgy spacing, judicious bolts etc are a PITA though, my Mum and Dad gave up on that with their plates years ago as getting stopped all the time isn't that much fun, and now they can get all arsey about you trying to 'fool' their ANPR cameras.

R4CE U is on a 911 in Croydon area

I have seen T1RES on a tyre truck

BAD1 is on a Mini Cooper Convertible that comes into my work (that must be worth more than the car!

I would like B4RRY or BSS 80. Another reg i would like for a suitable car is MON573R.

E3 OBS is not on the DVLA site any more so someones got that already!

I own C2 HLP and T5 TRN. Anyone wanna buy them?

My mate tried to buy P16 PUS for his missus about ten years ago, DVLA wouldn't sell it to him. They're now divorced.

Personally I think 95% of private plates are sh*t and make you look like a bellend. I've never understood why anyone would want their name almost spelt on their number plates.

However a few look ok, always liked the plate on the vag 1.8t clio with L 3VOM ( move in you mirror) ideal for a track car.

I recently saw an E30 in Brum with a plate that was something like "E3RTY" or something like that. Looked quite good...

Does it belong to anyone on here?

He'll lose that plate then, you can only transfer off a car with a valid MOT.

The best plates are the ones with the least amount of letters and numbers because they are usually look expensive.

This would be great of 635 CSI

G635 BMW on the DVLA.

unsure as to wat ye mean at the end of wat you wrote, , but they tend to be the ones that are the most expensive usually very expensive at that if thats what you meant in this case less is more

I have a similar one to that rs turbo on my E30 , Mine is D7UGE. (meant to look like Doug , but people say it looks like Drug E , lol).

I also have L9KOS whch is currently on our corsa but used to be on ma cossie. (could be for sale if you have any use for it like Kos??)

The cossie currently wears E9CRT which looks a lot more like "Escort" on the car than it does on paper.
