Finaly fitted a set of black leather seats out of a 2008 3 series into my e30. They came up great after I made up some brackets. the carpets are shot and have always disliked carpets. A local company makes replacement carpets in the same rubber that they make basket balls out of. It looks good too. The only daggy bits now are the door cards. Although they have no cuts or baldy bits they are grime and beige. the top bit looks like vinyl and the lower parts are some sort of fabric. any ideas on how to get them looking black and clean without recovering them?

Plenty of vinyl and cloth dyes are available at Auto shop or auto paint supply. It will be difficult to get a really good, solid black though.
Best option is a trip to the wreckers or post an ad on this "wanted" section of this site.
I have nice spare set of cards in black but I'm a little far away :D
