standard 2.5 and motorsport 2.5 diffrences

ive been told there are diffrences between the to 2.5 engines between a motorsport and a standard 2.5 is this true and if so what are they ie power etc

No difference between Sports and nonsports of the same age.
M3 had a totally different engine of course.

the only difference in m20B25 is the year of production as you can ahve a high comp engine pre1988 and a lower cat prepped engine post 1988
pre 1988 high Cr engine is approx 10.1 and cat prepped engine is 8.8.1
