Well, I'm 37, years old, married with 2 teenage lads!

I have a very long history of owning classics and modern classic cars.
I like the older and more 'interesting cars' and about a year ago I bought a two owner '93, Lagoon green 316i touring. I bought it as my 'modern!' work use and general purpose daily driver! Costing just under £500 quid, the slightly scruffy car was perfect as I needed something bigger and comfier than the MK1 Golf I owned!
I had just started a new business, making traditional bridles and other leather products. I also worked as a leather products designer and auto interior trimmer, I could lug whole interiors and leather hides, tools. The car is quite happy and comfortable to drive up and down motorways for business all day, handles great, even though it is underpowered in 316i guise
I had no plans, initially to restore the car! I drove it for about 3 days and I had completely fallen in love with the iconic E30's driving manners and feel!
The 'old green bus' had me completely hooked!
I have now sorted and painted the arches and sprayed both entire sides of the car and boot lid! I'm having to do a 'rolling' restoration, as it still serves me as my 'works van and 'daily driver'!
I do have engine replacement plans, (when I have worked on Sweep for a bit!) and plans for a completely new and different leather interior for the old girl! (when I get the chance to fit it in!).

Hope you enjoy your E30 as much as I have!
The friendly people I have met on this excellent E30 zone forum, can pretty much, between them all, answer any question you have on or about the E30!

Kind regards, and best wishes!
Owner of an old touring...
Improving, slowly, but surely....

42, and on my 2nd E30.
E21 320 at 20 years old, followed by an E28 528i, E12 528i, E21 316, E30 320i and now the E30 Touring.

Really don't like the newer stuff, more inclined to buy another E21 than an E36...
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring

Have had a number of BMW's including 3 E30's :D
As I get older I realize that you can't please everyone - pissing everybody off is however a piece of cake

I'm 28 and I've had 4 e30s over the past 2 1/2 years. Still got the first one I bought, the broon moredoor b20 in my sig, couldn't ever part with it now as it's so straight and tidy. I've had a nice lachs 320i Cab that I sold in a moment of madness, a second metallic brownie 320i moredoor that donated it's leather and a pretty tired sterling 325i touring that I just couldn't get on with, though it went well. My dad has recently acquired a glacier blue 325i auto cab that we're fettling back to health.

I'll probably have more, and I've got endless plans for 'when funds allow' (so likely never). I'd like a 'proper' classic car really, but I've resigned myself to keeping hold of an e30 until they're recognised as such. Might be a while, but the brownie ain't going anywhere soon.

I am now 27. I bought my first BMW E30 not long ago. My dad had one when i was growing up (a BMW E30 320i B reg). When i was in primary school i was drawing pictures of BMW E30s.

My first BMW was a E46 323Ci Coupe Manual (Normally-aspirated straight-six, rear wheel drive, manual gearbox, 2.5litre). Nice car though it is slow. I had this from 2006 to 2010. Before that i had a Seat Ibiza 1.0 litre Manual from 2004 - 2006. That was my first car.

Before the BMW E46 M3 Coupe and the E46 330Ci Coupe came along, my favourite BMW i wanted was a E30 325i Sport.

25 and i'm on my 4th E30, i had only owned 2 for a short period of time though. I cannot ever imagine selling the H28 though, i think this one's a keeper. My first BMW was a 525i sport (daytona violet).
